DIRECTOR’S STATEMENT:
this film is one of the clearest instances of “it’s about the journey, not the destination” in my work. i took a week-long trip to new york city for the very first time to shoot a film with some friends of mine, and took short videos of whatever grabbed my eye along the way. when it came time to comb through the footage, i followed that same mentality, and ended up with push forward.
LOGLINE:
how do you continue on when you’re terrified?
SYNOPSIS:
an imagining of a conversation between two halves of myself: the side that is terrified to leave the structure of academia and everything i’ve known up to this point, and the side that knows i must do it anyways.
